Easily Create and Manage Private and/or Public File Repositories
|
AAM quickly and easily allows you to manage shares for individual users and groups within your DNN Portal. Your shares can be mapped to local or remote folders on a network. Convert your DNN Portal into a perfect way to manage your existing file server.
Authorized users with no edit-access are given an easy way to browse and download files, based on the root-folder the administrator has set.
Create a Web Enabled File Server or Web Enable an existing File Server.
Create Managed Shares in 3 quick steps:
1. Create and Name your Share Folder
2. Select the Folder location
3. Assign permissions
 |
Individual User Shares |
Give every portal user their very own file share. Assign Quotas on the share. Folders are automatically created for each user.
Just point your newly created share to a physical folder location and assign to a role.
Ex:
My Folder --> C:\Users\
Folder Type = Auto Create
Roles = Registered Users
 |
Share Local and Remote Folders from within DNN |
Map your created Shares to a local disk location, or select a UNC share with support for AD and Local Authentication.
Ex : Project X Folder -- > \\FileServer\share\
Ex : Project Y Folder -- > C:\files\
Once you've mapped your shares... you can manage access with your built-in portal roles and users.
Ex:
'Role A' = read/write access
'Role B' = read only access
User 'FileAdmin' = full (read/write/create folders)
